What is Cacao Powder?
Cacao (cuh-COW) (Theobroma Cacao / Raw Chocolate) is the source for all Chocolate and Cocoa products. It is the edible part of the cocoa bean after it has been harvested, dried, fermented, and hulled. Cacao powder is made after the oil has been pressed from the bean, then ground into a fine powder. What Does Raw Mean?
The label “raw” means the cacao has not been exposed to temperatures exceeding 104°.
