Kidney Cleanse to Restore Vitality and Prevent Disease!
The kidneys are extremely delicate, blood-filtering organs that play a vital role in maintaining homeostasis for the entire body. Unfortunately though, these highly sensitive organs are prone to congestion and become damaged very easily.
Function of the Kidneys
The kidneys make a tremendous effort in keeping the blood clean and pure. In addition to removing wastes, the kidneys shoulder much of the responsibility for maintaining the body’s chemical and fluid balance. They produce very important hormones that are crucial for homeostasis within the body. These hormones help regulate blood pressure, calcium metabolism, and red blood cell production. They also regulate blood volume, blood pH, and the electrolyte content of the blood.
The State of Kidney Health in America
In November, 2008, The Journal of the American Medical Association published an analysis of federal health data that cited 13% of Americans -- approximately 26 million people in the U.S. suffer from chronic kidney disease (a conservative estimate). Unfortunately, these numbers do not account for the millions more, especially children, who experience some form of kidney disease without any noticeable symptoms. The National Kidney Disease Education Program, NKEDP, regards early kidney disease as a “silent problem,” one that eludes many people. It is now realized in the medical world that symptoms of kidney disease are so elusive, that it may take years before acute distress occurs. By the time a person is diagnosis with acute kidney disease, up to 75% of kidney function may have already been lost. It is estimated that up to 30-40% of kidney function can be lost without any noticeable symptoms whatsoever.
What Exactly IS Chronic Kidney Disease?
Chronic kidney disease is the gradual loss of kidney function that typically occurs over the course of several years. Most of the damage occurs to the filtering mechanisms within the kidneys and results in the build-up of toxic waste products in the bloodstream. Furthermore, since the kidneys produce very important hormones that are critical to other functions in the body, numerous health conditions including cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, anemia, vitamin D deficiencies and bone disorders may arise.
How Does Damage Occur to the Filtering Mechanisms?
In a healthy kidney system, filtration occurs when blood (carrying waste products as well as other nutrients) travels into each kidney through the renal artery. Blood flows from the renal artery into progressively smaller arteries which branch out to the one million nephrons that are the main working unit of each kidney. The nephron's chief function is to regulate the concentration of water and soluble substances like sodium salts by filtering the blood, reabsorbing what is needed and excreting the rest as urine. Other functions include regulating blood volume and blood pressure, controlling electrolyte and metabolite balance and regulating the pH of the blood.
The most important thing to understand is that these nephrons are very, very tiny, and when the blood is carrying excessive wastes they become easily “plugged.” When plugged they are prone to inflammation and infection and eventually die. Furthermore, because they are so small they are easily damaged by chemical imbalances in the blood that attack protein – specifically, high blood sugar and insulin – which is why diabetes and kidney disease go hand in hand. The bottom line is that when enough nephrons die, kidney function is compromised to the point that they can no longer do their job. Other systems in the body that are regulated by kidney hormones become disrupted, and the body’s chemical and fluid balance is no longer adequately regulated. Toxic compounds, proteins and acid byproducts build up in the bloodstream causing a wide range of symptoms and complications.
Kidney Stones – A Leading Cause of Chronic Kidney Disease
In his book, Timeless Secrets of Health and Rejuvenation, Andreas Moritz reveals that one of the main contributors of chronic kidney disease is kidney stones. He states, “Most kidney stones are too small to be detected through modern diagnostic technology, including ultrasounds or x-rays. They are often called “silent” stones because it takes years for them to become detectable, while all the while creating disease and imbalance in the body. When they first develop, they are more like sand or grease and seem to cause no pain or discomfort. When they grow larger, though, they can cause considerable distress and damage to the nephrons, arteries, and the kidney tissue.
How to Reverse and Prevent Kidney Problems
The most common causes of kidney congestion in the form of sludge, grease, sand and kidney stones are dehydration, gallstones in the liver and gallbladder, a toxic colon, frequent consumption of refined foods, animal protein, dairy, caffeine and other stimulants, soft drinks, processed sugar, commercial chocolate, cigarettes, an irregular lifestyle, stress, lack of sleep, use of prescription medication and antibiotics, excessive use of OTC pain killers such as Tylenol or Advil, and frequent consumption of alcohol and recreational drugs, just to name a few. Therefore, paramount to kidney health is reducing the toxic load in the bloodstream caused by these factors. This can be done in a myriad of ways, especially through diet and lifestyle.
Even if you have cleaned up your act recently and eat a wholesome diet and lead a more balanced lifestyle, there may be a lifetime of congestion remaining in your kidneys. Therefore, cleansing these vital organs is key to reversing any that has been created over a lifetime, especially if kidney stones have grown large enough to damage the tissues and capillary network of the kidneys. You can easily detect the presence kidney stones by pulling the skin under your eyes tight. Any irregular bumps, protrusions, red or white pimples, or discoloration on the skin indicates the presence of kidney stones.
What is the Kidney Cleanse?
The Kidney Cleanse consists of a kidney tea, that when taken every day will dissolve sand, grease and stones from the kidneys. Two other formulas that are included in this cleanse help strengthen and repair the kidneys and cleanse the blood. The Kidney Cleanse is designed to last 25 to 30 days. For individuals with a history of kidney stones, kidney related illnesses, or experience chronic swelling and water retention, suffer from constipation, live a stressful lifestyle, or experience chronic illness, it is recommended to follow the Kidney Cleanse for at least 6 weeks. After the first initial cleanse, it is recommended to repeat 2 to 3 times a year indefinitely.
The components of the Kidney Cleanse are:
I. Kidney Tea – The combination of the following herbs when taken as a tea can effectively dissolve kidney stones within a period of three to six weeks: Marjoram, Cat's Claw, Comfrey Root, Fennel Seed, Chicory Herb, Uva Ursi, Hydrangea Root, Gravel Root, Marshmallow Root, and Golden Rod Herb. Store the tea in an airtight container or in the freezer.
II. Kidney Complex (RenaVen) - The herbs and extracts in this formula contain powerful phytonutrients that strengthen, regulate, and enhance kidney function. Agaricus bisporus, a key nutrient, helps to cleanse the blood of putrid chemicals (by-products of a animal protein and dairy) that severely weaken and damage the nephrons.
Taking RenaVen also helps to mitigate stiffness in the low back and joints, as well as tenderness around the groin area, which is common for the first week or two after starting the cleanse. Symptoms are usually mild and dissipate when you take the Kidney Complex.
III. Protease -- Protease taken on an empty stomach, away from food will promote the cleansing of excess protein in the blood. Excessive protein in the blood is a main cause of chronic kidney disease. It thickens the blood which makes it difficult for the kidneys to filter toxic compounds. Too much protein in the blood also gives rise to the formation of certain kidney stones and is a main contributor to high blood pressure and heart disease.
